Looking Up
Looking up is the biggest alibi ever invented to explain a terrible shot. By the time you look up, you've already made the mistake. When we tell students to keep their eye on the ball, it is usually to give them something to think about that won't do any harm. The famous Ben Hogan even said he loses sight of the ball "somewhere in my downswing".
