Playing Wet Ground PDF Print E-mail

Playing in wet and slushy ground conditions.

Chipping - When chipping from wet and sloppy ground conditions our tendency would be to hit the shot a little fat or too much ground. To avoid this we need to sweep the ball rather than pinch the ball against the earth.

In the sweep chip we would be more rounded in our approach to the ball vs steep bak and through. A flat left wrist (right hander) would be essential like all of your golf shots.

In the sweep we would favor a more forward ball position

Full Swing

Your footing is a most crucial factor for powerful full shots on wet and sloppy conditions

Check your Soft spikes especially under the balls of the shoe.

Swing within yourself ie take an extra club and swing easy

Scoring

The course will play long so adjust your goals for scoring maybe 1 to 2 shots extra above par
